We've been talking about different design choices since the end of last year. But finally we started doing something about it. Thanks to Ms.Cramer, we got some very helpful ideas that were amazing. After the meeting with her we have finally got on the move. We're still brainstorming about what to put inside and outside the room, but so far, the progress is significant.

Hello Mayans! We are here to help students and teachers with their technology issues, but we cannot help you if you forget your passcode for your device. We are located next to the conseling center across from the library. We are available during lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Thank you for reading!
Back on February 27th, Dr. Cramer from USD's MTLC came and talked to us. She worked with us on ideas for redesigning our Genius Bar space. We need an area to create and work together. We also need an area to help our customers. What we learned from Mr. Soto and Mr. Zumstein is we also have to make sure that part of the room needs to also be used for other school functions. Dr. Cramer gave us some amazing ideas. We now just need to measure out sizes for possible furniture, storage options, and decor! We have not been meeting due to testing at our school. We hope to finalize plans and redesign the space to represent Mayan Genius Bar at its best! On Monday, March 9th at Chula Vista Middle School, Mayan GB students talked to Sweetwater (SUHSD) board members about tech. A number of the Mayan GB sat and helped board members 1 on 1 use their iPads. Mayan GB members Elena and Abril presented directly to the board. They explained how they help fellow students and teachers with tech issues on campus at Montgomery Middle. They also shared ways that they enjoy using the iPad to help them learn, and even led a Kahoot about tech! Additionally, Ottmar and Alejandro created this amazing iMovie during the board meeting - while their fellow GB team members and principal Mr. Zumstein were presenting!
The activity for today requires the students to be in 3 groups. They are given 20 pieces of spaghetti, 1 meter of string and tape, scissors, and a marshmallow. The concept is to build the tallest tower with the marshmallow on the top. What would happen if there was a tech issue for the holiday? Watch and find out!
This video shows a Stop Motion Film of a Lightning McQueen small car driving through the streets of Radiator Springs and having many obstacles. Making a Stop Motion Video requires a lot of patience, concentration, and responsibility. You need to place a camera in a place where it will not be moved. The object you desire to move has to be moved a tiny small bit forward. If there is any directional position, you have to be very, very carefully when moving the object. Every move the object takes forward, you have to take a snap with your camera. This video is a Devine demonstration on how to record your own essential Stop Motion Film. I came up with a game and i would love to publish it in the App Store. The name is Run for your Life! The game is based on a dog being chased by the animal control. But there is also power ups. Some of those power ups can be invincibility mode for about 10 seconds. Another one is peanut butter. If you place it down behind you, it will stop the animal control and the character will stop so it will regenerate the speed bar. we will add a speed bar on the top of the screen. The more you run, the speed bar will decrease. And once it runs out, game over. But, there is stamina bottles that will boost your speed meanwhile running from the animal control.
Hey everyone! We are accepting new members if you are considering to join. If so just remember that we are open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at lunch so you will have to come at least two days a week. If anybody would like to join you can pick up an application here (see below), fill it out on Notability, and e-mail to [email protected].
by Shania Q. Have you ever been on your iPad just checking your grades or homework at lunch, then you have to go to the bathroom, do you just go up to some random person and ask if they can watch your iPad? Well, I hope you don't, because that random person you walk up to can steal your iPad. There are many ways to lose your iPad, so I'm here to tell you what not to do. To not lose your iPad, you do not bring it anywhere that you do not need it, for example the beach. Next to losing your iPad , you do not want to break your iPad, and to break your, one and only provided, iPad you do not put it in harms way, you know better than to play catch with you iPad, don't you? Do not leave you iPad on the floor or any surface that no one will walk on. Please don't hit anyone with the iPad, you could have a cracked screen and a very angry person. Do not eat or drink so sloppily with your iPad, there re so many ways things can go wrong. To summarize, please don't give your iPad to some stranger you don't trust and don't bring it anywhere unnecessary. Don't put your iPad in harms way, example hitting or throwing your iPad around. So, in conclusion, don't be so careless with your iPad, you are only provided one iPad, for free, to use throughout the school year. |
